BEGINNERS COURSES - As a beginner to Ashtanga Yoga, we suggest that you book in to our beginners course, even if you have previous yoga experience. For more information please see Beginners Courses.
LEVEL 1: Designed for students with little or no yoga experience. 75 min.
LEVEL 2: Is designed for people who have completed the Level 1 course or who have previous yoga experience. 75 min.
As students of yoga we can become quite attached to the guided, or led, practice. Once you can guide yourself through the sequence safely, the Mysore Style practice is very liberating, like a moving meditation. You become your own best-teacher. The teachers guide and facilitate your learning.
LED BEGINNERS MYSORE STYLE (Monday night 6pm) - Progress with confidence and style. These classes are the next stage after you have completed the Beginners Course or if you have been attending any of the led classes. This class is a fun way to deepen and learn the Ashtanga primary series sequence, you can ask questions and simply let go of all that thinking you have been doing in the Beginners Course. The class is led through the correct standing sequence by the teacher, once you get to the primary series everyone braches off and works at there own pace with assistance from the teacher .
When we can let go of expectation and simply enjoy the practice we will see that anything is possible.
ASHTANGA LED - This is a guided, or led class. It is suitable for beginners and the experienced practitioner. All welcome.
BACK TO BASICS - This is a led class, as above. It is suitable for beginners and also ideal for those who have practiced Ashtanga yoga for a long time and want to perfect the finer points of their practice. These classes will rejuvinate your practice and deepen your already sound understanding of the Primary Series. We find many of our experienced students are choosing to regularly incorporate these classes into their weekly schedule. Don’t worry you will still get a strong work out!
BEGINNERS (Sat 10am) - This is a led class specifically for beginners.
FULL PRIMARY SERIES (Sat 8am) - This is a strong class for experienced students. If you are unsure about whether this class is right for you please contact the school.
MYSORE STYLE / SELF-PRACTICE - This is the traditional way of practicing Ashtanga Yoga. It is where one of our qualified teachers offers guidance while you work through the sequence at your own pace. Traditionally beginners are also taught this way, one posture at a time, however, often, beginners to Ashtanga yoga find this a bit daunting so most people attend the Beginners Course and then move towards self-practice. There is no need to book for the evening Mysore style classes.
PREGNANCY YOGA - These classes are specifically designed to help support women during their pregnancy. They are open to women enjoying a healthy pregnancy. Previous experience in yoga is not necessary. Class length is 90min.
OVER 50's - a gentle class to improve health, suitable for all levels. Class length is 75 minutes.


EVENING MYSORE
Evening Mysore style starts from 5pm! Start your practice at your convenience, you can arrive anytime between 5pm and 6.30pm to start your practice. Finish time is anytime before 7.30pm.
